Is the Muslim Brotherhood behind the anti-Israel protests in the West?¶
Short answer: NOT AS DIRECTED OPERATIONS — no court record, designation, or filing documents Brotherhood command of Western protests, the signature slogan isn't theirs, and the money trail runs through fiscal sponsors and small donors, not MB structures. What IS documented, and it is serious: the Brotherhood's leadership publicly blessed October 7 and called for global demonstrations; its heritage organizations sit openly in the protest coalitions; four of its Middle East branches are now US-designated terrorist entities for rockets, plots, and material support to Hamas; and its London finance-and-media hub is under US sanctions. The organizational-continuity question — whether today's American groups are the 1990s Hamas-support network — goes to trial in February 2027, and this site waits for verdicts. The conspiracy version and the nothing-to-see version both fail the record.
What's verified [each tagged in Document 31]¶
- The blessing: the MB's official October 7, 2023 statement "blesses" the attack and urges Muslims to "demonstrate"; its 2025 anniversary statement escalated to urging governments to give Gaza "military support"; the Qaradawi-legacy scholars' union declared support a religious duty by fatwa [VERIFIED via their own statements]
- The designations: Lebanese MB (FTO — it fired rockets into Israel alongside Hezbollah and Hamas), Egyptian, Jordanian, and Sudanese branches (2026); the London-based General Secretariat chief sanctioned July 2026 [VERIFIED via Treasury/Federal Register]
- The negative findings that discipline the claim: "globalize the intifada" originated in 2002 left/anti-war circles and its mass carriers are PFLP-adjacent secular-left networks, not the Brotherhood [VERIFIED-negative]; no Western court has ever convicted a violent plot as an MB-structure operation — the convicted European weapons plots (Berlin 2026) were Hamas's external military apparatus, and Austria's MB case collapsed with its raids ruled unlawful [VERIFIED]; the campaign-money version fails the registry — AMP has no FEC committee, CAIR's PAC shows $0.00, and no MB-lineage organizational dollar appears in any candidate's filings [VERIFIED via FEC]
- The lineage tier, kept honest: today's major US Muslim organizations were founded in the 1980s–90s Brotherhood milieu — documented via wiretaps and the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial — and whether that makes them the same network today is exactly what Boim v. AMP adjudicates on February 8, 2027 [DOCUMENTED lineage; the continuity claim pending trial]
The tiers test [ANALYTICAL FRAMEWORK]¶
Lineage, coalition co-participation, amplification, and direction are four different claims with four different evidence bases. The Brotherhood's documented role is the third — religious legitimization and cheerleading at global scale. The fourth — command of Western streets — is the claim every court and filing has so far declined to support. Whoever blends the tiers, prosecutor or defender, has left the evidence.
